Of course! Why else does anyone go to the library???

My university's main library was once the location with the highest concentration of sex crimes in the state of Ohio. Increased patrols by library security have done wonders to cut down on the sheer volume, but the only reason they're going to stop next year is because the library is being closed for renovation. There are some really strange stories some of the Campus Police have to tell. There was this one guy who would go around an just touch the little bit of underwear that is visible above girls pants sometimes. There was another guy who would sit behind random girls in the library and whack off.

Various frats and sororities have been known to do hazing activities in the library, in the upper stacks typically. When I say hazing, I mean strange sexual hazings, like the elephant walk and stuff. Another thing the cops say is that gay guys seem to like to go at it in the upper stacks, far more than any other group. Unique tales I've heard.

- Mike Cooper, shame for wanking in public, sympathy for how your problem was exposed.
- The ads at the top of the page are all porn.
- "Threatening behavior". Aggressive media tactics that amount to harrasment and blackmail. Violence is not the answer the Cooper family wants, however I don't think I'd react any differently.
- Librarians have quite enough work to do, they shouldn't have to deal with this. Although I suppose thats like saying the PD shouldn't have to deal with murders.
- Are all actions of public employees public record? Are the records of supervisory actions against patrons public record?

Point still stands, they're librarians and waiters and clerks and shouldn't have to "..deal with this shit.". The waiter is there to make me feel welcome, take my order, and bring me my food. The librarian is there to facilitate reading for entertainment, research, and delivering information to the patrons.

Wow I work in the basement of our "learning center" (meaning it is a ginormous building that has a library and a whole IT tech center attached) but I have spent my fair amount of time in this building and we have had absolutly NO trouble whatsoever with something like that

The closest we get is a few vagrents come and hang out in our coffee shop and such, cant blame them for that in minnesota in the winter lol
