Yep, it's that time of day again. First World Cup match of the day kicks off in 40 minutes. Predicitions?

Croatia looked very good against a poor Brazil, but I feel that had more to do with Brazil not performing. Japan scored a rather dodgy goal, then managed to keep Australia out for 85 minutes, but then conceded 3 to lose 3-1. I have to go with Croatia on this one, though there have been surprises already in the tournament.

2-1 to Croatia.

I'm calling this one a tie... Japan was embarrased in their first game, and even though I think Croatia ought to win, I think it'll end 1-1. But I haven't been paying close attention to this group, aside from hoping Brazil loses (nothing against Brazil, they just always win).

Croatia by miles. I like Japan, but they're shithouse. Croatia 5-0 Japan.

It might have been a 0-0 draw, but it was a riveting match. Some brilliant play, and every player gave it his all.

Well, they both suck. Definitely Brazil and Australia to the next round.

No, you didn't miss a thing. Maybe the best scene in the whole game was the Japanese goalie making a great safe on a penalty kick (which he almost screwed up later when a return pass jumped over his foot) and a crossbar shot by the Croatian team.

Not the worst game I've seen so far, but definitely not exciting either. Especially when you consider that both teams needed a victory after having lost their first game.

I don't know the name of that princess, but she's from the Japanese Royal family.

That tie was deserved - glad I called it (which again gave me 3 points and gets me ahead in our little group yet again as all the others went either way :D hehehe)
