Worst Cover Songs

In peoples opinions, what are the worst cover songs of all time?

I think that the worst would have to be Limp Bizkits cover of The Who's "Behind Blue Eyes".

Up there would be William Shatners cover of the Beatles "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds"... although that was supposed to be horrible.

What does everyone else think?

I was pretty pissed off with Metallica's poor attempt at covering "Turn the page"

For me, the truly worst is Evanescense cover of Nirvana's "Heart-Shaped Box." That remake pisses me off, so much. Of course I love the original.

Second worse is definately Limp Bizket's "Behind Blue Eyes," Which all my friends seem to love.

I forgot about Eddie Vedder's piss poor rendition of "Last Kiss" he screwed that song up so much that I can barely listen to the original, which I used to love, without vomiting.

The Chasm's cover of Metal Church. "Metal CHORCH!"

But, you know, The Chasm is pretty bad to begin with.

Britney Spears' version of the Rolling Stones song, Satisfaction.
Britney Spears' covers of her own songs are pretty bad.

Speaking of Britney...

Britney Spears' cover of Joan Jett's "I Love Rock n' Roll" was god-awful.

I'm of the opinion that invoking Britney Spears in any music thread should be the equivalent of a Godwin--she just derails the conversation automatically.

Who ever that band (Scissor sisters?) who did a dance version of either Comfortably Numb or Wish You Were Here. Scaring prevents me from remembering specificly.

Yep, that was Comfortably Numb. Awful cover.

David Bowie and Marianne Faithfull singing "I Got You Babe". It sounds like it's your aunt & uncle trying too hard at karoake after one drink too many.

Recycling...

OK, I have a cover I really, really hate. It's Outlandish's cover of "Aïcha" by Cheb Khaled. The original is a wonderful, little, melodic Middle-Eastern ditty filled with emotion, and the cover is a saccharine, r&b-ish monstrosity which unfortunately became a bigger hit than the original, which is such a shame, seeing as Khaled has many other good songs that would have deserved the international exposure...

I have no idea who does it, but since I work at a country market I am subjected to country music on a regular basis, and one of the songs in question is a cover of Queen's "Crazy Little Thing Called Love".

That world idol winner from Norway I think it was covering "She's so high" wasn'T very pleasant to listen to. And "Every step you take" by Puff Daddy sucked pretty badly too.

Oh, the Pep Boys radio station has a lounge version of 'I like the way you move' by Outkast. Hearing that makes me sick.
