Being a very sad man, by my own admission, I decided to watch the Trooping of the Colour this morning for the Queen's Birthday. Watching the spectacle made me wonder, what does your nation do for similar displays of military ceremony. If you have a monarchy, for example, do you have a parade for their birthday? If you're a communist state, or just a republic in general, then what do you do? I figured, unless it is bombed or something, few ever really RP these sort of annual events.
Or you can completely ignore this thread, and instead continue the 'DO YOU HAVE A FAITH IN GOD/LORD JESUS CHRIST???/?' discussion that young people from Virginia seem to post.
For non-Brits who don't have a clue what I'm talking about, please refer to:

Every July 4th we blow a lot of stuff up.
On Memorial Day weekend we have a couple big races and a bunch of parades where big old men drive around in little red cars wearing a fez.
Really, mostly parades, mostly local affairs.

When the HMNZS Wellington would make Port in Wellington the Ships Company would march.
Wow.

Of course most nations have something of the sort.
In the US we have various memorial day events and the like, but my favorite is the ceremony involved with the sentinels at the Tomb of the Unknowns (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tomb_of_the_Unknowns), in the Arlington National Cemetery. For lots more detail see: http://www.tombguard.org/

Every ANZAC day the old Diggers march. I think that's about it.
On Grand Final day I usually have a barby & get completely pissed with my mates. Does that count?

It just struck me - are you asking about peoples's RP and not RL nations?
Oh, the royalist inanity. (http://expressen.se/index.jsp?d=452&a=575735&i=0&g=0)

Totally reminded me about Fleet Week. A bunch of navy ships and sailors and the Blue Angels gnarl up traffic for a week. (no, the boats don't take up the road, smartasses...)

The entire Stanley Cup playoffs is the most emotional event in Canada. Fortunes are made and lost in office pools. People go around with face paint for weeks on end. Every time a team advances to the next round, its city is swamped with festivities leading up hopefully to the most gigantic, street-clogging bash in memory. As a Maple Leafs fan, this series of events is usually cut short if and when the Leafs are eliminated, at which point I curse and jeer their major rivals, and wait for them to also be eliminated. Especially the Ottawa Senators.

DAMN! Too bad...
And Megaloria, I doubt even the most ardent hock-head would call the Stanley Cup playoffs a military ceremony (as per the OP).

I think probably the most impressive parades are the North Koreans. Sure they might not be the most enlightened society and are led by a loony, but they don't half look pretty parading about.

RP nations. Though if you want to interject about what happens in New Zealand etc then that's also fine.

This is truly an amazing display, fitting of our fallen heroes.
