Long may you run, Neil Young

I just watched the new Jonathan Demme film, Heart of Gold, of Neil's recent show in Nashville.

What a unique artist is Neil Young.

In a world in which almost every musician is willing to sell his or her art to advertise cell phones and soap, Neil has remained true to his personal ideals and his music.

He is one of the few musicians making a strong political statement with Living With War and never shies away from experimenting with his art, even when it is sometimes difficult for his fans to follow where he leads (Greendale).

He has real integrity.

I hope Neil keeps rocking for decades to come.

I've always liked Neil Young for that reason. And he has good stuff.

Neil comes up a lot on my radio station, but that's cause I made a point of extensively programming his music (it's a Launchcast station).
