Although I have a very well established D&D character (lvl. 11 Fighter/Ranger) and am on my way to becoming a DM, I need help. My friend who is being somewhat of an asshole helped me make my character because he has the books, however I don't have them and he won't let me borrow them to help my brother make a character. So, I need a source on the internet that can specifically help me make I character. I already checked out Wizards.com, they were no help unless I chacked in the wrong section (tools), and I really want my brother to have a character, so I need help!!

If you don't have access to the core rule books, you should not be DMing. Get the three core rule books. That's my advice.
Seriously - how do you intend to DM without them?

buckle down and get them.
if you can't afford them, try used bookstores.

Better yet, forget about D&D and get a real roleplaying game, like Ars Magica (http://www.atlas-games.com/arsmagica/) or 7th Sea (http://www.swashbucklingadv.com/).

So, you're still driving a 1889 Daimler?

It's perfectly legal, too.

or GURPS. then you don't need to stay in the fantasy setting.

haha, too young. The point is, it's a real RP game if it's the original; I wasn't saying that it's better, although I probably should...
