Recently saw an ad for a "Testicle Festival". Decided to look on the web to get details and found these events are held in many cities around the country.

I've had beef, pork, lamb and turkey. While they're all good they all have their special taste. And there are lots of recipies.

Where I grew up it was the tradition to have nuts at every bachelor party. Sort of an aphrodisiac. Never heard that it didn't work.

Just wondering if others have tried them and if they are eaten in other countries.

I had those once when I was in Montana. I must say, the flavor was rather good.

For balls, I mean.

Praire oysters :D And I'm not fond of them, even though they don't taste too different than chicken hearts (which I love)...but I also had them in Peru once...I was really sick, and they slaughtered this old goat and fed me a soup with the 'best bits' floating in the broth...there was still a bit of hair...it was just disgusting, but those people eat meat like once every couple of years...I couldn't refuse...*gags in memory*

Were they shaved or still hairy?

If you ever head down to NZ, you should check out the "Wildfood" festival in Westport.
They have all sorts of stuff you wouldn't normally consider food, not just balls.
