Best Sport

What is the best sport?

The poll is just for people from the US because that's really what I made this for, but to go with the rules...non-US denizens may discuss freely.

I suppose Track or Soccer is the best...I hate calling it soccer...:headbang:

Poll: Sorry to my non-American counterparts, but I really want to know what the US opinion is.

Agreed. Though being Canadian, I'm a fan of hockey, as well. :p And in terms of actually playing, I rather like baseball. But in general, yes, football pwns all.

Football is the greatest sport ever and I'm not talking about thatb soccer stuff over in Europe.Football is the best because it is the toughest on your body which makes it the most challenging to play.

Well, actually Basketball is at least as good.

Sure, it may be fun to play. But I don't see how.

But to watch it's even more boring than NASCAR. And that's saying something.

If it's boring to watch then it can't be a "great" sport.

The Eton Wall Game may be 'fun' to play, but they haven't scored a goal since 1909. It's very boring, with the two teams basically shuffling in a ruck up and down a wall. Does that make it a great sport?

Does it fuck.

Oh yeah, as for that "soccer stuff over in Europe", I suppose you mean that "soccer stuff in Europe, South America, the Caribbean, Africa, Asia, Oceania, and North America outside the US"?

Dammit...I forgot car-racing...that's what actually inspired this. A debate between me and my friend of whether racing cars was a sport.

Bullshit.

I've seen more interesting things dry on walls.

Until you've seen a good game of international Rugby Union you don't even know what "fun to watch" means.

other: none - any sport is hard for me to watch and enjoy unless it's an extreeme sport like snowboarding, BMX freestyle stuff and the like, but even then I dont get into it or care about the participants or scores.

Hockey is the fastest, hardest hitting, most exciting sport on the planet...that almost nobody ever watches.

I love hockey.

CFL football is okay, too. Go Argos!

Does it involve risk of injury?

Well if all you do is watch the big races, like the Busch Series then of course NASCAR is boring, its like 25 cars on a 3-4 mile circuit. Go watch the shorttrack stuff and you'll be talking a little different. 25 cars on a 1 mile circuit, much more exciting (as in lots of crashes, lead changes, fire that sorta thing).

Yea anyways, best sport? Snowboarding, auto-racing is pretty damn good, hockey's fun as well.

Oh, I have, but I still find it tedious to the extreme.

I dunno, for some reason I just love those redneck forms of racing: oval, dirt track, monstar trucks, drag, all of them. The one form of racing I find the worst would be the Superbikes or whatever. That high-pitched incesent whine is enough to drive me up the wall.

American Football the tougest game on the body? What drugs are you on mate? Try playing rugby or even Ice Hockey. I've played both American Football and Rugby and believe me I was always in more pain after playing in the second row in rugby than as an offensive lineman in American Football.
