Years in prison for that? okee dokee

even as a multiple offender, I think the punishment goes way overboard. I think the assistant manager should have taken heed of the shirts message.
Not bad

It's no wonder we have such a large percentage of the population in prison here in the US. I think we have somethign along the lines of 2 million now which is like 1 in 142 US residents now in prison? Somebody is merely indecent and not being a danger to anyone and we put them in prison for 6 years. Great.

I'm thinking the guy has psychiatric problems. You simply cannot be normal and well-adjusted and do that kind of thing nine times.

No doubt.

The guy should be in counseling, not prison.

But I AM wondering...the article says he was a registered sex-offender...can you get that label for indeceny too? As in, did he get that label for this sort of thing, or something more serious?

Normal and well adjusted is overrated. Normal, well adjusted people rarely make me laugh.

I don't see a guy who likes to get his cock out lasting long in prison. There's gonna be a lot of 'macho' guys who won't like that one bit.

well normal is a relative term but I agree that he probably needs mental help. did anyone ask him why he does it? did anyone bother to try to figure out a way to get him to stop? Possibly by showing him places where others like to dress like that and show off in public? You know, like a fetish ball or a nudist colony.

Or at least to tuck his junk back like Buffalo Bill from Silence of the lambs.

Yep, but that is beyond "indecent". That is going into the realm of peadophilia, in my opinion, thus deserving a "sex offense" warning.

Isn't the important question to ask "Did she upsell him a pair of socks?" Come on, the employee was on the clock, surely working on commission.

It's currently 97.9% full, but then it only has space for 1 in 750 people max. 1 in 142? That can't be right.

I started the thread, "What's so indecent about BOOBS", but this goes right along with my argument. Exposing ones body should not be a crime. Why is it a crime for this guy to show his penis to a clerk, but not a nurse? They are both women, both working, both in a public place. It seems to boil down to the uncontrolled number of witnesses. So how public is public? Apparently the more witnesses you could potentially have, the worse your crime.

At any rate, I don't want my tax dollars going to fight these frivolous cases about nudity. And I certainly don't want exhibitionists classified as sex offenders when they haven't had sex in any form. I am so sick of puritanism, I can't hardly stand it.

Stringfellow didn't know that Ruben Gonzalez, 52, of Chicago, has nine previous convictions for public indecency and is a registered sex offender.

Gonzalez's last conviction for public indecency came in 2004, said Assistant Cook County State's Attorney Melanie Fialkowski. He received a 2-1/2-year prison sentence, she said.

If he's convicted as charged in the current case, Gonzalez faces one to six years in prison, Fialkowski said.

There are several levels between "normal and well-adjusted" and "batshit fucking loco". I personally ascribe to "Mr.Potatamoto." I like your money!

If you don't know the difference between showing your anatomy to a health professional and showing your anatomy to a clerk, DON'T GO CLOTHES SHOPPING.

Many future rapists start out by "just exposing themselves".

The guy had 8 warnings, he deserves what he got.

I dunno about you, but I could do without some moron waving his genitals at me while I try to go about my job...

By that logic "I make love to my wife, why not some random stranger on a subway car"...

Hint: because the nurse knows that she may need to see gneitals as part of her profession. I doubt that most clerks sign on for that as part of their job.

It has nothing to do with "puritanism", it has to do with basic respect to your fellow human being.

Nudist "colonies" (nudist camps actually) are not sexual. If the guy joined one just to get people to focus on his genitals (rather than to simply enjoy the freedom of not wearing clothes), he'd likely be chucked out. Unless it was AANR run, where they don't even seem to give a toss about the sickest perverts.
