Mexico vs. Angola

I V Stalin

I know this is a little early, but I'm off out soon and I wanted to know people's opinions before I go. Mexico easily beat Iran 3-1, and now face the supposed 'whipping-boys' of Group D. However, Angola restricted Portugal to just a 1-0 win, even if they created few chances in the process. Seems like they may have a strong defence but a weak attack.

Predictions?

Mine is for another comfortable win for Mexico. They'll want to boost their goal difference so they can play for a draw against Portugal to top the group.

3-0 to Mexico.

Mexico 3-1, unless they have defensive lapses. If they repeat the Iran form, no problems.

3-1 to Pepe!
Medxico have been one of the teams that i'd cheer for at World Cups for like 8 years!!!
Can't remember much about America in '94.

I don't think they'll try and draw with Portugal, it would be dangerous unless it was late in the game
Sure they could play a draw but not play for one.
We shall see...

Go Angola - one has to support other lusitanian nations you know. (And I have three angolan players in my outsiders team.)

I hope for Angola 3 - 1 Mexico, but I expect it to be the other way round.

lusitanian?

Of Portuguese origin (http://www.webster.com/cgi-bin/dictionary?sourceid=Mozilla-search&va=lusitanian) - linguistically. (Angola was a Portuguese colony, like Brazil)

Yes, clearly. Brazil was the first country to recognize the independence of Angola and ours countries has many things in common. Brazil has a significant parcel of descendants of Angolans in its population.

however, many people in the world do only show support for their native country, of course this is brazil for you. i do not like it when this occurs as it can lead to hatred and disrespect. though, brazil are a fine, fine team of course.

For United Marshlands "with their tails between their legs" is a very commonly used phrase, so he thinks you must know it and are only pretending not to.

Congratulations, Angola. What a great game. I really like it when the underdogs make a good, entertaining game. Kudos to the Angolan keeper, he "single-handedly" saved the match more than once.

Now, Mexico - wouldn't be the least bit surprised if someone were to be sacrificed tonight to appease the gods.

Outstanding Angola. With Ivory Coast out they are Africa's best chance. Joao Ricardo has to be Man of the Match.

You might be right about Tunisia. They aren't going to finish ahead of Spain, but maybe they can edge out Ukraine. Togo? No way they beat out France, South Korea, or Switzerland.

However, we may both be wrong. After today I have to say Ghana might be the best chance for Africa. In fact Africa could have a couple representatives in the next round.
