It's not the first time that countries with recent political changes have played with their old formats. The former Soviet countries played as Unified Team once, I think.

Yes, in a group that had Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Lithuania and San Marino. And Spain. They drew 4 and won 6 - one draw came against Spain, which means 3 came against teams they really should have beaten. That tells me they have a poor attack.

This implies a very strong attack, which makes it hard to defend. Which player do you mark heavily?
That said, Serbia gave them way too much room to move and I can't see any other teams (especially after analysing that match) doing the same from now on.
