20/20 Defeat

Bah, another game thrown away. I really thought they might pull it off before Trescothick was run out, but with him gone their fate was sealed.

Injuries; bad form; inexperienced players; the list of problems for England goes on. Does anyone seriously believe their claim that they can win the World Cup when they can't seem to finish off even the most basic of games at the moment?

Wrong sport Philo. The world cup is football at the moment. Give a few weeks and then we can start discussing England's pathetic cricketers.

I was referring to your use of the term 'world cup' this will seriously confuse the Americans who don't follow football or cricket, but will wonder how Sri Lanka got involved.

I object to that. I am american, and i know lots of people who follow soccer. I don't follow it regularly, but i'm following the world cup because its fascinating. in Mexico, EVERYONE follows fĂștbol and I live close enough to the border that soccer is a big deal.

(Cricket, as everyone knows, is a very tasteless and rude insult to a galactic tragedy.)

Dead easy to type English. There are the ones with bad teeth, the self important ones, the ones that take the piss whenever they see the word American, the hooligans, the metrosexuals, the Brighton crowd, chavs, pikeys, and the first class citizens which are of Royal bloodlines. There are of course crossovers between each and all of these main types

Sri Lankan cricket: The Tamil team bowls live hand grenades at the ethnic Sri Lankans. The Sri Lankans hit the grenade as quickly as possible to get it as far away from them before it blows. They then run to the other end of the wicket, avoiding the landmines planeted by the Tamils, jump in the fox holes and then proceed to call in airstrikes on the Tamil fielders. :p

Alright, alright, point taken.

Some of us consider cricket to be the more important sport though.

I don't like cricket...I love it!

However, I think of it as a ritual, not as a sport.
