Gay rights poll

Yes I know, another gay rights thread. I just wanted a poll to see who supported/was against it and why.
Edit: You can choose more than one that applies!
I personally don't see anything wrong with gay marriage, but I'm not religious so I wouldn't know the significance it has in America.

Define 'gay rights.' Do you mean the right to marriage? Right to vote? (I'm sure there are people who wouldn't mind taking that away) Right to freedom from discrimination?

I assume you're against gay rights from that wording - why?

I for one welcome our new gay overlords.

I've said it once, and I'll say it again: I look forward to ruling you with an iron, but lubed, fist.

I vote for the non-bigoted option.
I've said it once, and I'll say it again: I look forward to ruling you with an iron, but lubed, fist.At least it's lubed. Not like the puppetmaster overlords *shudder*
Oh, and sigged, cos I needs a new quote.

EW! lol :D
Okay, even I am starting to think that the gay marriage threads are starting to get out of hand.
And to think, people believe homosexuals can't reproduce...their threads seem to be breeding like bunnies...

No, I support gay rights, but I'm just picking up on what others have said, namely that there are too many gay rights posts.
Edit: I see your point, the wording did seem biased, so I changed it.
Whats up with all the against options, I guaruntee that no one is against gay marrage because it's "unnatural/against evolution" (some of those against it for religious reasons may make that claim but noone says that is main reason).
And, how exactly is it against the constitution. Why would anything relating to marriage even be in the constitution.

I have no idea; I'm not American and don't know the constitution, but things like that come up in debates sometimes, they say things like "If we let them do that what else will we let people do? Murder and rape?" Like a slippery slope argument.
Also, I did read something about it being against evolution, but it was a bit vague and I didn't really get where the argument was going. Still I added it in case other people did.

Just wondering, why exactly do people think gay marriage is bad for financial reasons?

I clicked a 'for' and an 'against' reason, as appropriate to my beliefs. Collectively, my vote 'for' outweighs my vote 'against'. I think legal civil unions for couples who want to devote their lives to each other, regardless of gender, makes perfect sense. Likewise, I do not think Churches/Mosques/Synagogues should be forced to alter their religiously-based criteria for granting marriages.

You should have put a "support- think of the children!" option... so many kids here seem to think gay marriage is wrong
How does it undermine law and the Constitution, when there isn't a federal law against it?
Seems like the religious crazies would have picked all the "against" options.:p Tards...
