Well I would hate to cut a hole in Wahsington's nose to attach the rope. Mt Rushmore isn't high enough for oxygen to make a difference. I've flown over Mt. Rushmore and don't remember a swamp. However there are vaults in the back where the artist wanted to store an explaination of why it was built. Money ran out and they have never been used so if the US should go the way of ancient Egypt people would have to guess. Would really hate for them to find GW's dead body there though because they may think he was a leader or something.

By the way as a point of how things change, Mt Rushmore was built for one purpose---as a tourist trap. It became what it is semantically well after. Just like several other "patriotic" things people worship today.

That was supposed to be directed at all the bush bashers. I think myo made a great point about how most people just bitch and bitch but probably never get involved to try and help. I bet that most of the bashers didn't even vote in the election.
