BBC Brother is Watching You

A new service has just launched on the BBC website, where you can watch what is being accessed around the world at any given point in time.

For example, at the moment worldwide traffic to the site is 4% below normal, and the most accessed site worldwide is 'Windows gets big security update.' In North America, meanwhile, the most accessed story is 'Nine killed in Israeli airstrike', while Africa is more interested in 'How Zarqawi was found and killed.'

How cool is this?

yeah that is pretty cool!
but i am ashamed at my fellow australians -
the windows security update is rating higher than the world cup story....

although, i guess we wouldnt be reading about it on the bbc site anyways

i think we need one of those for the entire internet
i guess google would have the technology to do that?
itd be excellent for the trendsters and advertisers among us, and a bit of a laugh too, i expect

Thank you. That information actually helped my never-ending quest for knowledge. I hadn't noticed that part of the site yet.

This Windows update patch has been one of the most popular stories all day, and although it says it's released today I still can't find any updates when I search.
