A pull out of Iraq

What do yall think would happen if we pulled out of Iraq say in the next months and told them that they are on their own? I'll be honest with you guys, I don't really see what we have to gain from this war in Iraq, I mean even if Iraq does become a stablized democratic country, the Middle East will still hate us, they'll always hate us no matter what we do. Hell Palestine is a democratic country and they elected a terrorist leader in a legal non violent election, and yet we threaten to pull fundings. Hmm, I guess you only like democracy if it works for you. Personally I don't care if we do pull out and say fuck this. No matter what we do the Middle East will hate us, we'll always have terrorist, and we'll always be buying oil from rich arabs who jacks up the price because he needs a new muti-billion dollar house. So what do yall think?

The shroud of the dark side will soon fall. The Sith will soon reveal themselves from within the bowels of our own congress.

And yet another fine point.

I agree. Just pull out. It's really not our business and never was. Our goal wasn't to "instill democracy." It was to get rid of Saddam, and find Osama, and WMDs - whatever, clearly those goals are invalidated one way or the other by now.

Let Iraq handle it's own situation; or would we all really advocate that in the American Civil War, it was France's duty to invade and occupy us and give us a stable government?

Now I do agree with the War on Afghanistan, Afghanistan was a legit target because they housed the Taliban, and the Al Queida network, and we still should keep looking for Osama.

If the U.S. leaves, bad things will happen.

If the U.S. stays bad things will happen.

The logical thing would be to leave. However, it appears the U.S. wants permenant bases in the Middle-East. I don't know why. It would be cheaper just to use more efficent cars than to fight over oil. The whole point of imperialism is to ENRICH yourself at other countries expense, not make yourself POORER. I guess the Bushies can't even get that right.

And just in case someone insists that it is cheaper to invade a country and pump out oil, I still really don't think that's behaviour a country should engage in. Otherwise you may as well send Navy SEALS into Hong Kong to knock over a few jewelry shops and rob some banks.
