So I was noticing that there are all these "gay marriage" threads, which has so been talked to death (not that I ever think flogging is a bad thing, but why should the dead horses get all the fun? :p ) but it made me wonder; if everyone's so interested in discussing sexual identity issues (and the gay marriage threads are certainly high-traffic) what kind of other issues in that vein have come up?

Pretty much. But don't let that stop you from starting any such thread. These things go in cycles anyway. There will always be a lot of new people around who missed the previous discussions.

it's all a matter of taste. I don't condoan any of this alternative life. Yet can not pretend it does not exist. As long as my "space is respected" I will do the same for others

...but since this is a discussion forum (as opposed to real life) would you mind expanding on that?

The phrase "alternative life" seems to make the assumption that the things I mentioned are optional, that they are alternate choices people take, is that your position?
And "alternate" to what? What is it which defines one sexual or gendered expression as inherently standard, while others are sattelite deviations reacting to that norm?
