Nothing to do with gay marriage

Thought I'd add something to do with interesting moral issues, but not having anything to do with Iraq, gay marriage, or... well, any current event.

Say you're a raft guide, in the Grand Canyon. You have this boat, which fits you, and either two normal-sized people, or one... eh... large person. You're taking a (large) guy down the river one day, when you spot two (normal-sized) people, struggling to stay afloat in the rapids. As the only person who knows how to maneuver the boat, you can't jump ship, because then everyone will die. Do you shove the one guy overboard to save two people, or do you let the two drown? (No calling in the police or whoever!)

I'd push the large man off, since he'd probably float.

as a raft guide you are charged with the safety of your passengers. it would be unethical to push the fat guy out of the boat to try to save 2 other people.

Should be a majority thing. But to be honest, you are looking after that guy, they took a risk, and they're paying for it (if you had no passenger def save them). Imagine coming back from the trip with two people after leaving with one. People would be suspicious, if your eturn with that guy, and later hear about the two dead, well, you never saw them right?

I wouldn't push the fat guy out.
