Yes, it's summer. I have several grills, and a smoker.
Love the taste of smoked or barbecued meat. Don't you?

We grill all year long, although it is better in the summer.
This weekend will be one for a brisket or ribs. And I have a taste for teryaki chicken wings on the charcoal grill.
Maybe it will stop raining.

Did you manage to cook the prawns without anyone doing their best Paul Hogan impression and saying, "Throw another prawn on the barbie, mate!" ?
Just looked at your barbie pic, and I really hate you.
Now I have to go find some tissues to clean all the drool off my keyboard.

Never heard of it until now, but just googled it and I find it's named after a weirdo grain-eating hamster.
So obviously I'm going to have to track some down and see how demented I can get on it.

Does anyone have any favorite sauces or marinades they'd like to share? I like to make my own sometimes just to experiment with flavors. I mixed lemon juice, pineapple juice, brown sugar, tabasco, soysauce and garlic together and let some chicken marinate in it overnight....it was delish. It was just the right amount of sweet/tangy/spicy.
Which one is the gay lover/Mary Magdalene?
Im guessing the guy with the collar sticking out of the sweater. He seems to be the most effeminate.

I have a simple marinade I use on london broils, T-bones, shell steaks-
Salt and pepper them on both sides and let them come to room temperature, then marinate for an hour in a mixture of teriyaki,Worstechire sauce and fresh garlic.
Then grill to your liking.
Its salty and tangy.

I use a combination of lime/lemon, ginger, chili, garlic & coriander when cooking things like fish or prawns. It works a treat.

No-one in my family says it. I think most Aussies are sick to death of hearing that phrase! :p
It was an outstanding barby; sunny day, plenty of beer, then a hit of cricket in the park at the end of the street (not too engergetic though mind!)
