Colbert vs. Stewart Which is the best fake news guy?

Jon Stewart is widely recognized as the most established and legitimate fake news man on television, but Steven Colbert is fast gaining a following among those tired of Stewart's left wing bias. Who, in your opinion, is the best fake news man?
Steven Colbert http://www.colbertnation.com/colbertnation/
or
Jon Stewart http://www.comedycentral.com/shows/the_daily_show/index.jhtml

Tough call. I wouldn't call either of them "fake" news because the news they report is real news, they must make fun of it.
Stewart is clearly liberally biased while Colbert is, well, also liberally biased ... just not so clear about it. His biting sarcasm, cleverly disguised to make him look like a conservative, gives him a slight edge over Stewart.
Stewart's ability to rip a new cornhole into every neocon he's had on his show is a thing of beauty to watch. He even got Bill Bennett to admit that the conservatives have lost the debate on gay marriage.
Both shows together are the funniest hour on television in the history of all television.
Drunk Commies is obviously the best fake news person. :D
Jon Stewart, in my opinion. But I am very curious to see how he would handle a democratic administration.

Why didn't you have the Mercer Report on there? It's just as good, or This Hour Has 22 Minutes?
Stewart is more serious while Colbert is more satirical. They both complement each other.

I dunno.. after watching Colbert stifle tears on the Daily Show's Election 2004 show when he had to announce that Kerry was losing a key state, I've been a bit skeptical of his ability to poke fun at both sides the way Stewart can. I kinda like John Stewart, and his bit players are great a lot of the time. Daily Show wins in my book.

I didn't discover the daily show before 2001, so I haven't seen the full extent of his powers ;)

Well, the Daily Show makes fun of the real news through the host's viewpoints. The Colbert Report makes fun of other people's viewpoints through parody, including news if necessary.

I like Stewart more, but the way Colbert gets conservatives by embracing their talking points, driving them to an absurd extreme and then challenging them to embrace them as well is masterful. It's gorgeous the way he does it, like the way he reduced Bill Kristol to a spluttering boob about the PNAC stuff. An artist at work.
And I saw the Bennett clip as well--Stewart was extraordinary there, but in a different way.

Well, paeleoconservativism is reffering to what the REpublican Party is supposed to stand for -- free market and small government. Not quite as much as libertarianism when it comes to freedom, but not nearly as restrictive as the GOP platform is now. Nor as corrupt.

We are a wide range of people of differing political natures. From the radical leftist hippies - like me - to the more socially conservative, may-as-well-be Republicans - like Joseph Leiberman.

I prefer Colbert, they're both pretty good, but Stewart's interviews are nowhere near as amusing. He approaches his guests with too much seriousness (brown nosing or debating, depending on who it is).
Watching people try to relate seriously to Colbert while he is in character, however, is one of the best parts of his show.

I think Stewart and Colbert are the two funniest guys on television, and I agree with both of their views the majority of the time. They've always worked well together, and the Colbert Report is the perfect compliment to the Daily Show. I'm voting for Stewart only because he's the executive producer of both shows, and the Daily Show, to some degree, makes the Colbert Report possible.
