NOTHING helps. Last time I tried marmite most of my taste buds inverted and became innies instead of outies in self defense. Several died and many immigrated to Mexico for a better life.

I lurve marmite in porridge or dissolved in water as a soup but not on bread - too rich for me. If that were strawberry jam on the bread, then yum!

You cant even eat the worm from a bottle of tequila after marmite. Even after death it will smell the marmite come back to life and jump out of your mouth to avoid the marmite.

BLASPHEMER!!!
Vegemite is the Devil's arse-scratchings.
Marmite is the food of the Gods.

OK, they're the weird little gods that no-one much cares about or worships (like the god of misplacing your car-keys, or the god of finding some monsy down the back of the couch)
But they are still gods!
And they eat Marmite.
So there.

As for me, best way to eat Marmite is mousetraps.
Or just grilled cheese with marmite on toast.

Mmm, yum :D

Any one who has tried both marmite and Vegemite knows that Vegemite is unmeasurably better :)

Interesting bit of trivia:
Vegemite used to be called Pawill.

The tag line was "Ma might, but Pa will" :p

Basically - whatever.

Marmite under the cheese on cheese on toast (grilled cheese in the US?) is basically teh win.

In a sandwich... eugh... not that nice...

And on toast with butter, Marmite beats Vegemite with a hammer of yeast extracts (+2 vs unfriendly bacteria in the stomach).

I tried Marmite once, and once was enough. It was disgusting.

Promite is much, much yummier, especially on hot buttered toast, Vegemite is ok, but not as good as promite.

Meh, I've tried it. I prefer Vegemite.

I have Promite & Vegemite at home, but eat the Vegemite more often. I usually take Vegemite sandwiches to work for lunch at least once a week.

although it's similarity to marmite is limited to two things

1)It's brown
2)it's spreadable

i think you can see where i'm going . . .

Bovril anyone??Seriously, the only time I have ever heard of Bovril was when I was watching a VCR recording of Disney's Dumbo. For some strange reason there was an advert for Bovril right at the beginning, despite the fact there were no adbreaks in the film. That was from when I was about 6.

You haven't lived until you've tried vegemite and raspberry jam on bread and butter.

Long time since I had bovril - I'm a vegetarian these days - but I always associate it with Billy Connolly's fantastic skit about the Celtic v Rangers soccer match..... "Football violence will continue while they're shitting in our shoes and we're pissing in their bovril." (Or words to that effect.)
