I don't think I'd be able to handle some of the more exotic cases.
Take keratoconus, for example. It doesn't seem like a very pleasant ailment (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keratoconus)...

Apparently, victims see the world like this:

Would you be able to handle stuff like that on a semi-regular basis? Not to mention stuff like eye surgery... yech.
