I've been wondering if anyone here has ever had any had any conflictions bewteen what their religion teaches on certain subjects and what your own views actually are. It's recently been happening to me about Catholicism vs my own views about Gay Rights and Contraception. I've been a Catholic all my life, but now that I think about it, it's dogma is compleletly different from my views.

So, has this happened/happening to anyone before? I'm not out for advice here, I'm just wondering if anyone here as any interesting stories or theories on this sort of stuff.

Have fun.

When I was born again, I changed all my views to tie in with the Bible.

With what you mistakenly interpret the Bible to say, rather.

No, what you have here is a 'Jerry Falwell Christian'.

'Jerry Falwell Christian'.

Now that's the best example of irony I've seen all day. If that's not "the simultaneous contemplation of opposites," I don't know what is.

Any way back to the post topic.

Disagreeing with your church on a couple of issues is better than losing faith. Keep your belief in God alive.
