Is it me, or are we all dumbing our expectations down? I mean, some of my friends wanted to be pimps when they were little, and one even brought a bebe gun to my old school to show off how "tight" he was. Gangs are fine as long as you aren't "wak"in people with your guns. And now it seems like we men are losing respect for women. Even the other day I heard a guy talking about "bonin" that mother f&*&er.
Is it me, or are we losing dignity and etiquette?

That's the worst examples of youth nastiness you can come up with? Last night i puked all over some guy's house after drinking all his beer, and i swore! loads!:p

Yeah, it depends what you mean by "downfall" though, really.
Its easy to blame the media, but I personally think its just the Western ideals of money, wealth, and success and the greed and carelessness that comes from it.

There are very few parents anymore. I mean REAL PARENTS, not DNA donors. People often expect others to raise their children,through school and daycare. All that is left at home is TV. Without any sort of censorship from parents, or even GUIDANCE, these children's spongelike brains are absorbing movies and BET as if they were air and water. I mention BET because the "gangsta" persona, as well as the "pimps 'n hos" idea seems to be mainly perpetuated through music videos lately.

as long as people are into acceptance of all forms of culture, including gangster rap culture then behavior will continue to match the accepted cultures. but i guess we have to accept all cultures because if we dont we must be bigots, racist, and rednecks that live in trailer parks.
