Every workday, while I'm working away at my computer, or posting here (wherever my priorty happens to lie) I glance at the clock before lunch and it's 11:39.
Today I glanced and it was 11:38.
Unusual enough to comment upon. What do you think it means?

That you need to reset your clock, since it's obviously running slow.

It means your brain has gotten into a repetitious subconcious cycle. It's kind of like when you get up at 5 am every morning for a long period of time. Before too long, you dont even need your alarm clock anymore. You wake up on your own. I think it means you need a vacation from work or perhaps to change the routine you currently have regarding your work days.
Unusual enough to comment upon. What do you think it means? That's only one coincidence. Fate is conspiring against ME, not YOU!

Well, that may be true, but that's a good example of how modern people interpret a solution to be the meaning of a puzzle.

It's true, I am a creature of habit. Every time I approach an intersection, I habitually pause to wait for the car that will inevitably block my way at the intersection. (It happens so often that when there's no car at an intersection, it's unusual enough to make note of.)

That's entirely likely. I haven't got much restful sleep in the last few weeks. It might be aliens.

That too!
Oh dear! How so?Problem is, I couldn't explain most of them without mentioning names of people, and I don't like that at all. There's been a bunch of things (dreams, movies, people doing things) that appear to be coincidences, but in an alarmingly high number. Especially with names.

What, you guys can't see this? I think it's obvious that this is a classic case of anti - time time travel in the sub atomic nucleous of your genetic structure. The phase shifting is bringing you slightly out of sync with reality. Hence the minute difference.
I mean, come on. How can you not see that?
Really, I mean. . .come on. . .

Ah! That's not too far-fetched, you know. That's exactly what daylight savings time is --glancing at the clock earlier in the morning than we used to.

Yeah, the summer days are so long, aren't they? And the nights are so short. Which is a good thing because I am afraid of the dark.

What's truly sad is that he honestly believes that proves something.
If you read the list of important 11's (people who have 11 letters in their names), you'll see that alongside:
Adolf Hitler
George W. Bush
Bill Clinton
Jimmy Carter
Ariel Sharon
Jesus Christ
Josef Stalin
John Kennedy
NIKOLA TESLA (no idea why it's in capitals but it is)
There's
Harry Potter
David Blaine
Ayrton Senna
John McEnroe
KEANU REEVES (again, no idea why it's in capitals)
Wow. Didn't realise that a fictional children's character, an annoying fake-magician and a god-awful actor should be put in the same company as JC, several US presidents, a couple of meglomaniacal dictators and John McEnroe.
Most pathetic and contrived is Uri (and his 9-letter-long name) desperately trying to insert himself into the honoured 11 list, with this:
Uri Geller born 20, Dec.1946. 1+9+4+6+2+0=22.11+11=22.
Notice something?
Yep. He conveniently forgot to add 12 (for the month). Bad luck Uri, guess you're not as powerful as you hope. Keanu's better than you are.

Bad news. . . your blurred vision is a symptom of an interstellar sub radar viral infection. . .transported through subspace on invisible, odourless and scantily clad gamma rays. . . usually happens within a few months of St. Patricks day. . .unless. . .
wait, it's coming to me. . .yes! Eureka! Your blurred vision isn't a viral infection at all!
It's Stuff! Stuff on your glasses!!

I am so in love with my smartivity right now. :fluffle:
Hope I helped!
Names can be changed to protect the innocent ...even if that's you, who might get beaten up. ;)Ah, but the coincidences tend to involve the first letters of names, the first names of two people being the same, or a name coming up much too often in a movie I recently watched.
Some of those don't really work with name changing ;)

And do you know why they pop up so much?
I have a friend who has fallen in love and dated at least 3 Amy's. And another who divorced an Angela only to fall for another.

Yes, I often get into these cycles. I look at the clock every day for a week, and unintenionally it's always at the exact same time.

interesting. Personally since high school (beginning about 18 years ago) I see 11:11 day and night without trying and it's nearly consistent. I always thought that was strange.

It means you need a new job. 11:39 is the limit of your tolerance, and it's not even lunch time yet. And now, you're one whole minute less patient and engaged. It's a downhill trip, W.

For years I've looked at the clock at 7:11 .. weird. Go all day .. not even thinking about the time.. then something draws my eyes to it and it's 7:11. No clue if it means anything.

The strange thing here is - I always look at the clock when the Channel 4 news has just finished. Why?! It's always going to be 7.55!
