Well, for the last two days, i've gotten to play on a slip an slide water srip, and a pool, and in the pool, I got to soak a tricycle by using my trademark Bottom Cannonbal.

On the water strip, well, you can pretty much imagine it.

In my experience, water is more fun when mixed with dirt. But I do think highly of the few opportunities I've had to scuba dive. I'm a certified PADI Open Water Diver and I rarely dive. I've always meant to scuba dive more, but I don't often get the chance. Perhaps if I owned my own equipment, I'd dive more. Or perhaps if I lived somewhere with warmer water. *shudder*

One of my favorite dives was off St. Thomas when I was in the Navy. Everything about it was perfect. We saw an old wreck of a ship and a coral reef and when a shark swam by, I actually brushed it with my hand. :)

Best moment with H2O? Sailing in the Mediterranean last summer. Just me, my best friend, the sunlight on the water, and the French coast in the distance. [/blissed-out]

If you like diving, you want to haul your butt down to NZ and go here:

Poor Knights, off the coast of Tutukaka.

Lots of stingrays and, depending on the time of the year, whales and orca.
They sunk an old navy Frigate near there about 5 years back as well, which makes for good diving aparently.
I used to live near there and when I went out in my kayak, I could see the shadow of the frigate quite clearly some days, even though it's in 30m of water.
Visibility is fantastic round there.

Well, there was that one time I fashioned a rough homemade explosive from water and used it to blow up the planet Alvin...

Yes, I know there's no planet Alvin. That's because I blew it up. :)

Best water moment was when me and my buddy were pretending to fight each other, and I was unarmed. My buddy had a long, slender icicle he was using as a long knife (or maybe a shortsword). It was in the winter, by the way.

Anyway, I instinctually kicked the icicle out of his hand, whereapon it soared through the air to land in my own hand! After sharing an incredulous look with Evan, I stabbed him! Again and again and again.

And again.

It was at this moment I realized that I'm a hot, hot man. But that's a story for another thread.

DON'T TELL ANYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are we talking, "I'm a filthy homeless person posting in the library while I wait for my underwear-which I washed out in the library restroom sink-to dry" poverty, or "I can't afford broadband and I have to eat Little Debbie cakes because Hostess is too expensive" poverty?

Oh, they were. But that's nothing next to Dave. He chased me halfway around the Galaxy armed with a photon blaster and a potato; I barely escaped with my life.

Good fun. :)

No, it's "We have all the comforts of modern technology and lots of food and we have to use it all up until we get more $$" poverty. We have money, it's just we don't have enough money.

IF YOU TELL ANYONE ABOUT THIS, LUNATIC GOOFBALLS, I WILL KILL YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
