A guy I know who competited at the Athens Olympics was telling me how incredibly drug-ridden they were, and explained how the athletes' doctors are generally ten years ahead of the anti-doping folks. He suggested that rather than have countries go up against each other in the Olympics, it should be the pharmecutical companies who compete. What are your thoughts on the issue?

It would completely take the meaning out of sports, and probably result in some f***cked up atheltes pumped up on every enhancing drug in existence.

Instead of testing winners, they should really test all athletes who train and particpate in the sports, encourage a culture of clean, undrugged athletes who compete on their own merits. This way the athletes who train without drugs have an advantage because they are excelling based on their own natural potential.

They do exist, but it's not something that should be encouraged by such an event considering the damage it does.
