Except for the fact that poppies have to be grown in big open fields to be worth bothering with, and when in bloom they produce BIG bright red flowers, leaving large pieces of land covered in a crimson carpet that can be spotted from any military flyover, convoy drive by or casual tourist on a day trip.

No, the US does not oppress its own citizens or send suicide bombers to other countries. We have freedom, and the Iraqis and Afghans only had terror and oppression. We freed them and gave them democracy.

Afghanistans ideal of democracy is for regional warlords to hold power. Iraq is already a given due to the fact that no real government is doing anything of notice.
