What's your favorite mode of transportation?

I like all of them.

Trains fascinate me the most, but i've always wanted to ride in an airplane, even though I get around most of the time by combination of feet and automobile.

Oh yeah, a word of advice: Don't play on train tracks unless you want to become this guy right here: http://smilies.vidahost.com/contrib/monsieurboo/tgv.gif

I personally love walking everywhere, occasionally jogging. Can't stand busses or trains, use them only when i have too.

you have to throw "Rikshaw" (spelling) in there somewhere, gotta love being pulled around in a little cart.....or so I am told.

I use a bike, but it got stolen last week. It wasn't worth much though, I think the locks cost more. But still... If I would take longer than 20 mins then I'll use public transport. I never bothered to learn how to drive. I actually like my bike, it's fun. *sigh* I loved my bike. I'm sad now. :(

The opportunity never presented itself. I've done some mud surfing, however. :)

Bicycle races are coming your way, so forget all your duties on earth...

And don't even think of punching me in the face.

I enjoy walking a lot, but I also find something unexplainably compelling and romantic about travelling by train. In the United States, train travel is not that great as it is expensive and often irritating. However, I had a marvelous time in April taking a train ride from Venice to Rome, stopping in Florence for several hours. The scenery outside was stunning, the trains were quite luxurious and my mom and I wound up talking to a very nice old woman with the help of her english-speaking grandson.

Aye, shame that is. A bit of a problem to use it for public transportation though.

Walking, though I do like trains. I just find travelling on a train incredibly relaxing.

Omg, if we had a monorail, I'd use it EVERY DAY. Even if it didn't take me anyplace I wanted to go. I'd take it wherever, then hitch a ride to work from there.

I usually ride my bike.
Or I take the train (Great smiley, BTW!!!)

Or, if I'm really lucky, I get to drive my Mom's car when I'm at home.

I usually drive, but that's because nothing worth going to is remotely close to where I live.

When I lived in Europe I took the train everywhere. I really miss the trains, and if we had them here I'd sell my car in a heartbeat.

For some reason I really like flying. I think that's because I associate flying with international travel, which I haven't been able to do (other than to Canada) since I left the Army.

I flew on a helicopter once. When I was in the Navy, I was flown to my ship (U.S.S. George Washington) via helicopter. Unfortunately, by the time the crew was done explaining the procedures and survival techniques in case of a crash in the ocean, I had a hard time being excited about the flight. :p

Actually, it was pretty fun. :)

You know, my dad was in the Navy, and he got to ride in submarines and ships.

I don't know if he rode in a helicopter though.

My only beef with bycicles is that you'll get all sweaty after a reasonably long ride and that's not very nice when you're headed to work; apart from that I love them, they're a cheap and clean transportation mode for short distances.
My favorite public transport is the subway train, it's fast and cheap (at least here).

Yes, and the great thing is you're not subjected to most of the pressures that cars are, such as traffic jams. Everyhing goes so much faster. To avoid sweatiness, I usually wear minimal clothing for cycling and instead bring extra clothes in my bag.

Agreed, but I don't think I can fit a suit in a bag :p Motorcycles are nice for traffic jams too, I fail to understand how so few people use them (apart from the rain problem)

Well, I'd have to say bike. You don't have to spend money on gas, maintenance (usually), insurance, or any of the other hassles that accompany a car. Also, you can travel faster than you could walking and you can travel at any time unlike a bus or a train. For short distances, the bike pwns all other means of transportation...except in the winter.

Of course, I might be biased because I can bike everywhere on campus at OSU and I get a free bus pass...and it's almost impossible to park there. There's also the nasty problem of car vandalization, which is something I prefer to avoid.

Well, every day I get around half of my sleep on trains, so I have to give them a vote. However, I love to walk and ride my bike too. Airplanes are cool, but I get cramped on long flights.

Train, but the last time I rode one it was a commuter train in Madrid about 23 years ago. Don't have many passenger trains in Oklahoma. In fact, we don't have a lot in the US anymore.:(

Sheesh, you guy have no concept of the most enjoyable way to travel.
It's in the back of the limo with <insert your fantasy date here>.

In my case, of course, that would be my wife....

But if she were busy, I guess I could make do with Charlize... if absolutely neccessary.

There is absolutely nothing I love more than trains. NOTHING. I wish I could ride trains all the damn time because they kick so much ass, soooo much ass. Unfortunately, I'm an American who lives in Nashville, so we really don't have much in the way of train here. When I lived in Berlin, I was in Heaven using the U-Bahn every day from my apartment to university, and whenever we go on vacation using trains, it's just lovely.

Ships are also awesome. As a Southern kid, I spent a lot of time on the lake being tossed around on a tube behind a boat ("SLACK! SLACK! SLA--AHHHHHHH ::splash, kick best friend in the face::"), and as a spoiled little brat, I went places like Alaska on cruise ships. Fabulous fun, and it has the same happy rocking motion as the train :D!

Bikes are the best for local travel, but America isn't at all bike friendly, especially where I go to university in Ohio. There's one park that I cross through to go to the grocery, and although it shouldn't be used for much but foot traffic and bikes, people go barrelling through there at break-neck speeds and even have the audacity to honk at me because they don't think I'm far enough over. Excuse me? If I go off of the road, I'll get my tyre stuck in something and go over the handlebars into the dirt. If you go off the road, it's barely a bump. Go f'ck yourself, honestly.

Bikes are my favourite. Actually that is the greatest invention of man.

I don't like cars (cannot park in the city, polluting, expensive) and I hate planes (iron birds fall down, if they have no engines. and engines can stop).

I kind of like ships (otherwise it is long way around the sea).

They all suck! Walking is my favorite, but there's not much within walking distance, and it's not as much fun when the temperature gets above 100 F.

I usually drive my car, but gas prices suck, and the parking at my usual grocery store sux.

And my city isn't very bike-friendly.
