Whats the one drink you crave on a hot summer's day?

For me its either an Iced Cap, or some good ole 7 Up :D

I went for the cocktail because it was the only alcoholic drink available.

That is all.

Hot coffee plus a Java Chip Frappucino at Barnes and Noble, followed by an Italian soda that I take along with a book or my laptop down to the nearby park to relax in the shade...maybe even a dip in the public pool afterwards.

I usually do this routine after swimming at the pool...10 on 10 water basketball can get pretty tiring and you actually lose a lot of water from sweating.

Supposed to be 83 tomorrow and 85 on Memorial Day (the day the pools open!)...it's going to kick major ass.

Montieth's summer ale. Light, refreshing taste but still 5%.

Or this one:

Mac's Blonde, infused with orange and coriander. A little sweet, but goes down so fast on a hot summer's day.

Or, if I'm not wanting alcohol, then this:

Bundaberg Ginger Beer. Awesome. Simply awesome.

I picked water because Beer isn't up there. But Oberon is a summer brew of one of the local brewers and is fantastic. That or a corona on the beach...Soco and Coke worked very well for the Pearl Jam concert though.

I made an ice tea thats really good and good for you, but dont let that turn u away lol.

I used 1 bag of lipton family pack icetea it calls for like 3-4 for a gallon but its really over kill.

1 bag of family pack tea
brew it in a saucepan add 1/2 - 1 cup of honey to the water. when the water turns dark (the darker the better) pour it into ur pitcher. keep the tea bag in the pan keep brewing tea with it until the pitcher is fullish. add 1 cup of lemon juice and stir. do not add sugar it wont need it.:)

its very yummy and the lemon juice raises you ph levels which makes you healthier and the honey does many things for you as well.

I quite often get a strong hankering for an ice-cold creaming soda, but more often I go for a Bundaberg ginger beer (much more refreshing than the creaming soda which can be a bit oversweet at times).

When I'm out I tend to go for Bundaberg or maybe a lime and bitters because the bottles dont stand out as 'non-alcoholic' which is quite handy if you dont want to advertise that you are not drinking the booze. Otherwish I also like lift plus energy drink - super tangy but fill of caffein so the apparent thirst quenching effect when it hits the mouth actually converts to a dehydrating effect once it heads past the throat...

Iced sweet tea or water. Natural Water, I don't need any flavored water crap. I mean comon, if you're going to drink flavor water, might as well drink sodas.

how can you make a poll asking what's the best drink for a hot summer's day without having ice cold beer as an option? or a g&t. those would be my drinks of choice.

Good ol' Coca-Cola. But not just any Coca-Cola. When it's really hot, there's nothing better than an old-fashioned glass bottle with a pop-top. First time I had one was one summer down in New Orleans. It was unbearably hot, so I picked a bottle up at the Farmer's Market, and drained it to the last drop. It tastes subtly different when it's in glass rather than plastic or aluminum... fresher... fizzier. The only problem is that they're kinda hard to find.

Ice cold beer, ice water, coke, mugi-cha (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mugicha) (a Japanese tea made from roasted barley), and fru-fru fruity girly cocktails on occassion, in that order of frequency/preference.
