Or Uber Thread 2006 for short. Basically it is a reflection of the year so far and all of the crappy or genius topics created these past few months. Basic nostalgia with a superfluously long name.

I remember when i logged on today and saw the thread title, and thought to myself ... hmmm, i wonder if that one will get a lot of action, a lot of saved quotes by the archivists http://www.websmileys.com/sm/mad/074.gif
and how quickly it would likely devolve into a "spamalanche" (thx JuNii),
and how it's a good idea anyway, and then i thought for a very short while about how to finish off the post that i may or may not have contributed to. Then, i started thinking about a post on another thread i hadn't gotten to, and i ended the post rather abruptly to go to that one

This year, so far:
Bush has gotten worse. The war has gotten worse. National intelligence has gotten slightly better as the approval of Bush has lowered, though as a whole, most of America (especially those under 20) are incredibly unenlightened, unintelligent, uncaring bastards and/or bitches. As always.
The internet is in danger of being overtaken by the ISP companies. The government has records of every phone call you've taken since 9/11. Fox News is even less fair and balanced than it's ever been.
