I am rather shocked.... Shocked completely at this game. As much as I enjoy it, I have came to the conclusion that whoever issued this new censorship thing has performed a dangerous act of freedom.

I tried to post the below comment on my RMB, and start a topic about the Truth 911 Campaign going on in America. To my utter shock I got the following message : Your message appears to contain inappropriate language.

So, thinking that it flagged the word "Dick" in Dick Cheneys name, I then decided to add an "e" to the end of it spelling it "Dicke".

I am not what, has caused this censorship thing on NationStates, but I find it rather suprising. And am petitioning the Government to remove this. There is absolutely nothing wrong with my post (context wise) (dispite the fact that the vice president threatened the nation (publically). Why is this being flagged? What target words are in this taht causes it to be flagged?

Freedom of speech for you doesn't exist on someone else's website. If you don't like the censorship here, you can post anywhere else.

I understand "fuck" or '****' being considered profanity, but Dick? Dick is a name of many people, that one should be allowed.

I think he's referring to the regional message boards, which have strict filters. There are harmless words that get caught in the process of attempting to censor...

They think you're referring to the forum. You need to clarify this in your initial post.

You need to put this into your first post because some people are VERY lazy and don't read far when there is room for reactionary commentary. Plus, how are they supposed to know what RMB is without clarification?

I'm not sure from what you describe if this is a tech problem or a moderation problem, but questions/"petitions" for the Mods go in the Moderation forum. Either way, the TOS allow for PG-13 language, so dick and fuck should be OK.
