Am I the only one that sees the incredibly similar patterns of beliefs?
Well, if you mean the big three, Christanity, Judism, and Islam, that's because they are all interelated.
Other than that, it's hard to say.

Yes. Goes against their claims of all being the "one true" "divinely inspired" religion. I think it all stems from human nature.

One of the few things that seperates Chritianity from Islam is that Christians believe jesus was the messiah. Muslims don't believe that, they believe he was only a prophet.

Well, the "golden rule" is in hinduism, buddhism and several other religions as well, I think.

Not really. What I meant was that many religions seem to have a creator and several to many lesser beings that are still greater than Man in an ever-lessening power pyrimid. Also, the obsession with humanity being inherently flawed and needing redemption from either the creator or one of the slightly lesser beings(sometimes, though rarly, the person can achieve this on their own).

A lot of the old polytheistic theogonies were similar to each other too. They generally all have the same characters, father figures, warriors, maidens, etc.

All three of the main religions believe in one God. And they originate with Abraham, the first one to say there was only one God.

Nope. *points to self*
And has anyone noticed the connections between religion (oh-so-true is scripture) and mythology (old and fake?)?
Indeed.

Really? I can think of a few religions that do not follow the script. Shintoism for one.
The only thing that I do see in common is the beings greater than man part.

Shure, there are exceptions, but I mean generally. (also there is always the similarities in moral codes.)
Hinduism is similar to others in most regards I stated before.

Assuming they HAVE moral codes. Mayan religion thought that cutting out hearts was okedokie. Shintoism doesn't actually have a moral code per se. Norse mythology (what survives) also doesn't seem to have anything close to the 10 Commandments.
Even the idea of being 'saved' or going to Heaven is different depending upon the religion in question, if addressed at all.
I actually find it more amazing just how much diversity there is the world in regards to religion.

In a small way they did. And it seems like it only applied to other norsemen. According to my old history teacher, whom I should know better than to trust...

no really
WHAT BELIEFS do you find that are so similar?
what do you know about world religions?
Most religions in this world preach decedence of man, which is actually a big lie.

Not Hinduism.

I BRAHMA am! the One Eternal GOD,
And ADHYATMAN is My Being's name,
The Soul of Souls! What goeth forth from Me,
Causing all life to live, is KARMA called:
And, Manifested in divided forms,
