Enron trial. Verdict in 10 minutes. Quick vote. Guilty or no. I say guilty.

I'm guessing they go down for something, but not all the charges. I'll be surprised if they're guilty on all counts.

I shoudl have split it between Lay and Skilling and all counts or some or innocenrt on all, but it's now about 7 minutes awy and I wante dto see what people though beforehand.

I'm so giddy about this. If they get convicted there's not enough time left in their lives for them to ever see the outside of a prison again. Skillings pushing 60 and lay's pushing 75.

Skilling's GUILTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Both. Now the question is - how much time will they do? Usually you can get far more time for carry marijuana than bilking thousands of people out of billions of dollars.

They're facing 60 years. All Lay needs is 10 for it to be a death sentance and skilling maybe 20. Personally, I think they'll both get much more than that. This is the biggest corporate scandal in history.

That's true. They actually actively recruited fascists to sit on the jury. Also, one Nazi and a Klansman.

We'll see. I'll be impressed if they actually get a sentence that reflects their crimes. The fact that a kid with a pound of marijuana usually does more time than these bastards is unbelievable to me. I don't care if 10 years is enough to do it, I hope they give them a verdict that shows the law recognizes how serious their transgression was. Personally, I think everything they own should be taken away as well and auctioned off with the money going to stockholders. Everything. Even the stuff they gave away to protect.

I'm so happy.

Anyone ever seen the movie, "Enron: The Smartest Guys In The Room?"

Great movie. It is amazing how the bilked everyone. They actually bilked an entire state out of billions just so they could fill their coffers to hide their losses because they were getting too big to sweep under wierd accounting schemes.

Dude. They faked an energy crisis to steal billions from the state of California. This isn't about a few little old ladies having to eat cat food. They actually ripped off a whole state! For Billions! They're toast!

True. There is a good chance they will end up doing only a few years in some country club jail.

They didn't do it for themselves. They were trying to cover up losses at Enron by bilking CA energy consumers our of billions of dollars because the losses at Enron were getting hard to hide.
