If you could have ANY power, even something you made up, what would it be?

The power to stop reposts.

Nah, I'm only kidding. It's good that these threads come up every two weeks or so. It gives the N00bs a chance to develop a recognizably personality.

I'd go with the power to be incredibly lucky. Nothing really beats luck.

The ability to create a magical land where the sun and snow can exist in harmony.

The power to just snap my fingers or something and bring about world peace. For purely selfish reasons though, i would like the ability to just transport myself anywhere i wanted to go at a moment's notice.

Duh, the power to always be able to pull out a fat bag of chronic from hammerspace. Soon to be renamed chronicspace.

Change the rate of the flow of time, so that if I needed extra time I could get it. Also, I could sneak past people so fast they wouldn't see me but unless I plan to become a master thief that's not so useful.

The power to change my body in any way I wanted as many times as I wanted.

That would be incredibely useful.

Immortality. I'd personally like to see where humanity will head in the next couple millenia. And when the sun eventually explodes, either civilization will have advanced to the point where I could just move...or I'll just float in space for a while. I'd reach another system eventually.

Also, with immortality comes the possibility of progressing towards omnipotence and omniscience.

The ability to make oxygen disappear in any given space beats it pretty effectively.

Power of water, power of ice... power of everything I find nice!

Pyrokinesis includes creating fire, thus fire could still apear in any given space, though it would disappear a second later, and a steady stream of newly created fire would do the same thing.

The power to spread my vices like a addictive viral infection. I already corrupt those around me (to my friends delight), but make it into a superpower and I'd have an army of filthy-minded, sex slave women potheads in less than a year.

my power is close, but a lot more specific. see, with immortality, you dont die. but you can still be hurt and grow old, so i would want to be industructable- being industructible offers eternal good health and youth, and some other things.

I was thinking Tic-tacs.

The power to convert the world into/out of a musical~ For example, I was in a great mood this morning while cycling back from a public lecture downtown because it was a sunny day and I was cycling in a suit and tie WITH A MATCHING BIKE HELMET (That was pure coincidence, but awfully nifty). It would have been cool if the whole thing had turned into something out of a Broadway musical or a music video. Naturally I would get to pick the song and decide when the moment was over.

So...no omnipotence, I assume? Cause thats what I would like. A lot.

Otherwise, jst give me the power to manifest things out of nothingness. And by "things," I mean...anything I can think up.

INVISIBILITY..... I could go anywhere without being seen... even the deepest recesses of, lets say, CIA and NSA Headquarters, the White House, 10 Downing Street, The UN, the vatican, you name it. Collect as much damaging classified information as possible, and bribe and control the most powerful people on earth. Beautiful....:cool:

Not for anything productive of course. I just think it'd be fun to mess with atheists.

Force lightning FTW. Immortality would really suck. It would be fun for the first couple thousand years, but after a few million it would start to get a little boring. Eventually when the universe ended you'd just be floating around in nothingness. Whoop-di-doo. I'd like immortality but the chance to die when I wanted to.

I wouldn't mind having the power to read minds, because I'm nosy of course, but I would want to be able to turn the ability off and on at will. I have a hard enough time sleeping as it is.

Shape shifting. And I mean proper physics-bending shape shifting, where I can change mass as well. Not to mention being able to take on the powers of whatever I change into. It has so many uses.

Time is the final frontier. The most interesting to play with. It wouldn't have to be intrinsic. I'd settle for a Tardis.

I'd like the ability to give myself any power. Just one at a time so I don't become an omnipotent dictator, but any power that's useful at the time. If I want to get to work, I'd give myself teleportation. If I have two appointments, I can give myself the power to be in two places at once.

Vibrokinesis. I had a character in the RPG called Champions who was a master of all things sonic. He could both generate and absorb sound and transmit and receive electromagnetic radiation (radio, TV, etc.). Champions forced you to balance your character with weaknesses. As a result, my character's weakness was that he could never be fully silent. There was always a hum, or music or some kind of sound emanating form him. Stealth was a no-go.

If not sonic control, I'd go for emotional sense and manipulation.

If we're talking standard powers, I'd choose psychokinesis or basic unaided flight, 200mph top speed.

Immortality

Perhaps something a little more realistic for myself like maybe immune to all forms of disease. Cells continuously regenerate so I don't age, close to immortality but can still be killed physically though even that would be tough.

Agelessness. Not really immortality. I could still die. But not by organs or whatever wearing out.
