Why is Hollywood spitting out so many remakes of old shows? Have they run out of ideas for new ones?

It's more than that, I think. Hollywood doesn't like to take risks, and they figure rehashing old tv shows into feature films is a quick way to make a few million bucks because history shows that people do indeed go see them. Most of the time, they're utter shit, too. I did laugh at Starsky and Hutch, I will admit.

I didn't know they were doing remakes of the show. I just saw the trailer for the movie which I think looks cool.
