I think the video game industry should come up with more innovation and less unimaginative sequels.
How many games of EA have been sequels last year? Something like 26 from 27.
It's getting boring.
What do EA make again? Apart from sports games (which I don't buy)?

Oh the ironing!
Stop the sequels! Part 2...
Oh and Medal of Honor (grr no 'u' grr) is overrated an exceptionally large amount. Yes, some of them have the Normandy beach landings in!
Woo-fucking-hoo!

Ah, well I don't usually buy World War II games, film-based games or racing games either.
FIFA, Madden
Association Football and American Football are no longer sports?

Why be original when you can churn out another helping of the same crap and pretty much guarantee sales? Laziness is simply more cost-effective. The big companies aren’t looking for innovation as an end, they’re just trying to make the most possible money.

LOTR two towers and ROTK arent that bad of games, of course there are a million games better, but its worth the 20 bucks.
never played the LOTR RPG the third age though, dunno how that is.

Once they get a decent franchise going, they are entitled to milk it dry. If they don’t, they’re leaving money on the table. The guys at the top don’t actually care about making good games; why should they? If quality gameplay isn’t a requirement for sales, they have no reason to bother with it. Name recognition and advertising sell more games than reviews or word of mouth today.

Can any of you say you're against Halo 3? That's a sequel to the second one.

If they can make a box shiny enough to take attention away from the smell of the turd inside, there’s no reason to make a real game. If it looks like shit and it plays like shit, it probably is shit. If people buy it anyways, they’ll think that we enjoy shit, so they’ll keep shoveling it in our faces.

If they can make a good game with new features (not just slightly better graphics, a slightly different storyline, and a few new characters), it's fine if it happens to be a sequel. GTA3 was invovative, but Vice City was not.
Personally, I generally enjoy game sequels if I enjoyed the first one.
