So, I'm sitting here, talking on here.. and I GET HANDED A MEMO TELLING ME THAT MUMPS HAVE INVADED THE SCHOOL! OMGWTF!
A case of mumps has been identified at Mahanoy Area Elementary School. Exposure may have occurred on or around the week of 5/08/06. Be aware of the signs and symptoms of mumps, because you can still get mumps even if you have been vaccinated.
So, damn you public schools! I tell you, those little brats get sick with something dangerous every year.. last year it was.. that one where it can be.. meningitus, that's the one.
Don't they vaccinate against that where you live?

Elementary school runs from K to 5 usually, or up to 11 years old, and occasionally 14 (8th grade).

But yeah, I was surprised that there weren't some horrible infectious diseases going around my Kindergarten class. A few kids (who shall remain nameless) would wet their hands in the sink after taking a dump, and they'd rub their hands on the toilet seat (!) to "get the germs off". After that, they'd wet their hands *again*, and they'd lift the seat to rub down the top of the bowl (!!). After that, they'd wash their hands without using soap (!!!).
Hey, I was the same age as the rest of those kids, and I knew a hell of a lot better than to do that shit.
