One of my friend posted this on another forum, and some of the forum members found it offensive and called it "racist". Eh I just don't see what's so offensive about it, so I'm posting it here to see what yall think.
A huge mega-earthquake with the strength of 9.1 on the Richter scale has hit Mexico.
Five million Mexicans have died and over a 8 million are injured.
The country is totally ruined and the government doesn't know where to start with asking for help to rebuild.
The rest of the world is stunningly shocked.
Canada is sending troops to help the Mexican army control the riots.
Saudi Arabia is sending oil.
Other Latin American countries are sending vital supplies including Trauma Medical health care workers, EMT experts and high priority medical supplies.
The European community (except France) is sending food and money.
The United States, not to be outdone, is sending seven million replacement Mexicans.
God Bless America

The way I see it, the joke is that we have so many immigrants (legal and illgeal) that we can replace the one lost in the Mexican Earthquake if we have to.

i know. i dont get entirely why its racist either, but, as i am not mexican, i cant really speak for them.

imo, it's laboured and contrived (Not to mention very old), rather than offensive.
Go for the pithy one-liners, like:

Funny! Incidentally, the isue is not of racism; it is of anti-Mexican prejudice. Racism is very specifically prejudice against a specific race (It can also mean a specific religion.). It's like calling anti-Americanism racism. It's not. Sorry, I just can't stand it when people misuse that word. It's a pet peeve. :headbang:

Sectarianism is the term for Religion based discrimination.
The term "Racism" might as well be used broadly since humans are all members of the same "Race".
