Even if this particular thread is "against" a particular person, what of NN's threads against entire religions, entire ethnicities of people? I'd say that's slandering too. But again - you only have the capability to come out against hatemongering when you feel close to the target. Because you're a hypocrite.

People have the right to be what they want, whether that's an oppressed white conservative, a hate-mongering racist, a petty wanna-be dictator for life, or a jelly doughnut.

They don't have the right to take those beliefs out and beat the living snot out of the people who disagree with them or represent their worst fears.

So if Ny Nordland wants to be a hate-mongering racist or a jelly doughnut, that's his right, as long as he doesn't start whacking kneecaps. If you disagree with his opinions, don't read his posts. If you feel they don't belong on the forums, report it to the moderators and let them make their decision on the issue.

Quite frankly, we're all a little bit racist (and some more than a little). Many of us hide it well, and most of us actively work to not act on our bizarre notions regarding other people, races, etc. Bashing other people for this rarely teaches them the error of their ways...it simply inflames them to the point they're going to act out their beliefs in despite of you. This is why personal attacks are so very rarely effective.

I know nothing about Ny Nordland, but I've looked at first posts in all the threads cited in the first post of this thread and I have not found a single racist statement by him. Simply citing scientific FACTS and crime statistics is NOT racist. One can draw racist conclusions from those facts though - but on the other hand one can easily draw racist conslusions from his own imagination. What I do know for sure though, is that a lot of posters in this thread (including the original one) are fascists. Intolerant totalitarian fascists. When somebody else mentions some facts and theories they find "inconvenient" for ideological reasons, they do not even try to debunk facts and serious and counter serious arguments with their own arguments - no, they just immediately start throwing offensive labels around, attack their opponents' motives (rather than their arguments) and insist on banning the speech they find "offensive". These "debating" techniques were first invented by Russian Communists, were quickly spread in the West by their fellow travellers and soon were adopted by other brands of Fascism as well.

I disagree. His right to spread lies ends at my right not to be slandered due to my being of a certain race or ethnicity. And this forum doesn't really operate by the rule "as long as it's not violence, it's OK."
