I was on my way back from the gym and I ended up behind this truck. It was some kind of tannish pickup truck, looked kinda old and a little beat up. What attracted my attention was, on the back, dozens of those religious fish things. The difference was, this truck had them for everything from darwin to jesus to buddha. Right above and below the fish were the words

ITS A BIG ENOUGH SEA
(fishies)
RESPECT FOR ALL

I thought that was an absolutely beautiful idea.

Then of course I realized thats why I generally avoid the General forum unless drunk. There seems to hardly be any respect shown for divergent viewpoints here. Most of the time it seems to be scathing attacks on the people posting or on some class of people (liberal, conservatives, christians, moslems, etc) rather than an actual debate on the issue.

While I find it amusing when inebriated, most of the time I find it slightly less annoying than someone running fingernails down a chalkboard. Probably why I generally stay in the II or NS forums while sober.

Anyway, think about the first part of this rambling message ;)

I like that. Was there, by any chance, something representing atheism on the truck?

Besides those [insert label here] are completely and utterly wrong, so it's my duty as a [insert opposing label here] to show them the errors of their ways and shower them with contempt until they see light.
