I'm not absolutely certain, but since my mother's side of the family were farmers and my fathers side was pretty conservative; I'm pretty sure I am the first anarchist in the family

The first to go to Uni, first to become a doctor in the Armed Forces (although no where near the first to join one of the Armed Forces - according to my genealogy tables there has been at least one person from each generation of my family for over 200 years that has joined the Forces) and first to visit over 100 countries in under a decade.

Pretty sure I was the first to do that in my family as well. Didn't make them happy of course, plus it was chilly snowboarding.

I don't think I was the first in my family to do anything of importance. I can't say "First to graduate from medical school" since my father, grandfather, and great-grandfather were all doctors. I suppose I was the youngest when I DID graduate...

erm...I can think of more but they're all related to the musicy type stuff above. Most of my family aren't too talented in the music/performance area so theres plenty of firsts for me there.
