What are you cooking today?

Since the weather's been nice and I'm back in the States, I can actually grill out a bit, and I'm running my smoker again.

We had some lovely smoked pork last night, and tonight, I'm making tandoori chicken on the grill.

And yes, for those vegetarians out there, I grill quite a lot of vegetables (my kids like grilled tomato, grilled squash, and grilled asparagus).

So, what are you cooking today?

I am so angry about the weather. I've been off college for a week and still have not been able to fire up my barbecue.

Sounds like I need to invite you all over for dinner.

I also make my own homemade bread (not in a bread machine, either).

Not sure about today, I'm having a meh day today (it's almost half six and I'm not dressed). Yesterday I had bready mushroom omelette (add breadcrumbs to the egg before you fry it), fried camembert with cranberry sauce and roasted vegetables with melted goat cheese.

Yes, you must invite me for dinner. The food here sucks. Not sucks as in Lionel Richie sucks, sucks as in Oprah sucks...

Well yesterday I surpirsed myslef and made a full meal. My mom had left a note telling me what to cook but hey I did it. Steamed the brocolli, baked the potatoes and the garlic bread and BBQd the pork (that was the easy part, I love to BBQ stuff). Turned out pretty decent if I say so myself, and usually the kitchen is the bain of my existance.:D

Since the weather's been nice and I'm back in the States,

I'm in England, just South of England. And it's pissing it down. Again.

Ironically, they've just declared a drought here even though it's always fucking raining. I lived in Newcastle once and, one June, it rained non-stop for over a week. Not just the little pitter-patter pitter-patter type rain. No, it was the kind of rain that glories and exults and takes great joy in falling down hard upon the earth like it will only have this one chance to rain and then never again. Except it hasn't and it doesn't. No it rains ALL THE FUCKING TIME. And so it's logical that our water companies should slap drought orders on us every couple of years

I'm having noodles. There's no barbecue for me tonite. We're forecast rain. :(

Silver salmon with olive oil and lemon pepper. I'm actually cooking it tomorrow, just thawing it out today.

It's not as exciting as it sounds... Salmon is like chicken here. If you don't have anything else, thaw out some salmon from the freezer and cook it up. This is my last one from last season, and I have to finish it up before I leave for the summer.

Chicken catchatory.

1 whole chicken, cut up

marinated in spaghetti sauce with 8 large tomatoes sliced up and marinated with, 1 can of mushrooms, all sorts of spices, 1 cup of oil,

Pour the excess on spaghetti sauce and eat the chicken. It's so good, however it takes about 16 hours to make it.

Marinated for waaay too long to make one great meal. *BWWAAAP*.

Yes, I am a straight man and I CAN cook stuff.
