Lion Roars Allah (a real-life lion)

Amazing. Although I am a devout Muslim myself, I would have to admit that even a secular person cannot deny this. A real life lion in a zoo recorded by viewers did ablution (which in Islam is mostly needed before praying), but while walking towards the viewers, he says articulately Allah. It's amazing, it sounded as if the lion was possessed or as if a man was saying it.
Now, honestly, no one can deny this (I am not preaching). It is plain stupid to say the video was edited and whatever nonsense. Just because religion hasn't been proven does not mean it is not real.
Enjoy -- watch ALL of it, it is worth it.

Mmmm I like Arabic music, shame there's not enough of it in the UK :(
Wow... that's true... it does say Allah!
That's strange and mildly cool!

Whoa, a lot of posts there buddy.
Anyway, I'm not sure of it is saying, "aua", my first impression was it was saying "Allah"
The lion makes an "Awwaagh" sound... it might have sounded like a man saying Allah, if he had no teeth and had a blanket over his head.
I could kind-of hear it when the lion first started to roar. However, there is one time where the lion's voice changes and I clearly hear "Allah." Then, it goes back to being muffled. Interesting. Either way, it's pretty cool. I'm Buddhist, so there's nothing that makes me want to hear anything one way or the other. Like I said, it's a cool video no matter what you hear. Thanks for sharing!

I'm skeptical, though I haven't watched the video yet because I fear that it might force the outdated computer I'm on to implode.
Maybe later.

Sounded more like "arrah!" And even if it did say allah, it licked it's balls first. I don't think it respects your religion much.
Selective hearing. It's a way of recognizing patterns in something, much like seeing ;) as a person winking.
I do love Arabic music though. Awesome stuff.

I hear "Ah...Ah...Ah-wuh-hah...Ah-wuh-hah...Ah...".
Amazing. Although I am a devout Muslim myself, I would have to admit that even a secular person cannot deny this.* snip*
I dislike the tone of this sentence.

You're quickly becoming one of my favourite posters :p
Anyway, I couldn't help but find it funny that they people taping it actually tried to answer the lion. It's not a rabbit, it can't talk!

I guess you do hear what you want to hear. I just heard a bored lonely lion making a plaintive meow.
If it was saying 'Allah', maybe it was asking Him to get him the hell out of that depressing concrete pit he's stuck in.
Yoo, think you could delete a few posts? Or did you feel your comments were so good, they needed repeating?
As for cats talking, here's a better vid:

It seemed like the lion was sneezing, or clearing it's throat or something (maybe it had a pube caught in there), I mean the noise it made was just a roar, followed by a fricative liquid (similar to the Arabic 'l', but not outside the vocal range of many mammals, and, incidently, also quite good at dislodging things from your throat), and another roar.
I'm not impressed.
Not like those fruits that appear in the news every now and then that have the thuluth written inside them in pips, those are goddam impressive.

Maybe he was looking for Allah there, and when he couldn't find Him in his happysacks that's when he walks over to the cage and asks the ppl watching if they've seen Allah.

I honestly cant believe anyone thinks that lion said "allah", or anything else.
That was just a lion roar folks, nothing more.
Its no different than a dog barking "I love you", its actually barking "a roo-roo!"
Youre just hearing want you want to.
That's nothing. My six fat plush cats can say "feed me" (kinda) when they are hungry.....
Strangest thing.....;)
Through in truth, it did vaguely sound like "allah"

It sort of feels to me as if it's be trained to make that sound. Sort of like a parrot can talk. But meh, cool nonetheless.

Even if it was controlled, why would it want to say "Allah"? If I was a lion and got temporary sentience from divine intervention I would co-ordinate an intricate escape plan.

Maybe something is wrong with the lions throat, or its a mating season, if you've been in africa, you would hear the same (only little different) sound before mating starts.

I've never seen a lion act that way, but I couldn't hear the word "Allah" it sounded similair to Allah but that may just be because thats what a lion sound's like when it barks I guess? I dunno, I really wanted to hear a lion say allah that woulda been pretty cool, but sadly this lion cannot say Allah.

Im a muslim, such things have nothing to do with faith or religion etc. give endless monkeys endless typewriters and endless time you are sure to get Hamlet from one of them.
But its fun :D it actually says allah like an old man without teeth but he says it lol After all we shouldnt expect proper accent from a lion, should we :p

I had two reactions when I saw this(I've seen it before, when I was with my cousins in Saudi Arabia):
1.Well,there's a lot of ways to mess around with audio and video, nowadays, with the technology we possess. Why couldn't this be the case?
2.So freakin' what if it said Allah?Does that mean that god wanted it to say Allah and then proceed to go back to acting like a lion?Or mabye the lion just liked said Allah for the hell of it.It's no more of a miracle than a parrot being able to imitate human speech.
Hell,I've seen hundreds of things like these, espically in Saudi Arabia, where people have nothing better to do than prove to themselves their own religions by random, little events like this.I mean,it's retarded.People must either be really bored or just want to make a fuss out of nothing. It's sort of like how random christians claim to see Jesus in everything.Who cares...
I've seen an e-mail being sent around in Saudi where someone played around with the Starbucks logo to make the star into a Star of David, which they claimed was the design in all non-muslim countries where Starbucks is located. They proceeded to say that Starbucks was donating most of it's profits to the Israeli government. You know,to prey on some people's anti-israelism.
Not saying all of Saudi is an anti-jewish fundementalist bag of mixed nuts, but there are a few crazies.

I'd really like to see that, that would be rather amusing.
I'd have to see the lion in real life to believe that.
And it was in a hideous cage.
Maybe he was looking for Allah there, and when he couldn't find Him in his happysacks that's when he walks over to the cage and asks the ppl watching if they've seen Allah.

I played this clip to a couple of people WITHOUT telling them what they were supposed to be hearing, and none of them thought for a second that it was saying 'allah'... or anything else. They basically wondered why I played them three and a half minutes of a lion lazing around, licking it's nuts and meowing.
This is evidence of the most basic form of human conditioning - you tell your audience what they are going to see, and they'll see it if they have to imagine all kinds of routes round reality to get there.
Teh_pantless_hero
21-05-2006, 15:36
I didn't think it was saying "allah" even knowing what I was supposed to be listening for. It sounded like there was something wrong with its meower, so to say. I bet it hocked up one hell of a hairball.

Well it's important to perform ablution (wudu) before prayer.
Now, if the lion were to sing adhan, now that would be something!

Ohhhh ... you'd be close enough to the truth in saying "all" and it not being a gross generalisation. Not all Muslims and not all Arabs are anti-Jew, but I've never met a Saudi who would give a Jew the time of day or piss on him if he were on fire.
Granted, I've not met all Saudis.

Beleive what you like. All I saw was a lion washing one part of his body like all cats do. He never preformed abulition as he never washed his paws. All I heard was a lion roaring like I've heard at the zoo in Tulsa, OK.

Guess you didn't get the joke.
Washing balls isn't part of ablution any more than a big kitty will pray.
