Bumpy-wumpy! ;)
I like the Sega Genesis and the N64. My boyfriend and I were just talking last night about the Sega Genesis and why we both liked it the best. I think it had the best games and was such a jump forward past the Nintendo. Don't get me wrong, I like the Nintendo, but I found myself playing the Sega Genesis and N64 the most out of all the game systems.

Playstation 1. It was reasonably priced and continued most of the good games that the SNES had if you think about it. The N64 only had the Nintendo copyright characters. Plus, it had better games, controls, and graphics.
Sega Genesis was lame. "OMG IT HAS SONIC TEH FRICKIN HEDGEHOG" doesn't make it a good system. Sega Saturn > Sega Genesis.
mine are
Atari 2600 (Yes, it still works)
NES
Playstation
Playstation2 (redundant since all my PSone games work on PS2)
Sega genesis
Dream Cast
Sega Saturn
and the PC.
but my favorite gaming system is my imagination. It doesn't require any bulky equiptment and it can even run without electricity.
I'd say N64, Megadrive ("Genesis" in America) and Gamecube.

I voted my PC... I'm not going to waste money on a console system when my computer will run any type of game that I'd be interested in playing.

You mean your going to waste much more money on a system that has to be frequently upgraded in order to play the newest games?

No, I'm going to spend money on a system on which I can work. i.e., finish my thesis, do research, etc.
Gaming is just a fun aside.

What is the difference between that and having to buy a $300 system to continue playing any games at all every couple years? They stop making games for the "old" systems entirely within a year of the new system coming out.
You don't have to upgrade your computer to the newest shit everytime a game comes out unless you want ungodly high framerate with so many bells and whistles turned on in the game you won't even know what they are for.

Exactly. and even if you do want all the fancy crap, its rare a game comes out that needs the very latest hardware anyway. Except for oblivion. goddamn it.
I love my PC, I can play snes, megadrive, and playstation games on it, plus all the ace games it has too.
Upgrading may be a waste of money, but with a console you are stuck with the technology from when it was made, so the graphics seem crapper and crapper with each passing year. If you want the best, youve gotta pay.

The first edition of Gameboys that came out in 1988 and is older than I am...shh, you don't know that's the only "gaming system" I've ever owned.

For the record, it's not actually called the Revolution, that was just the project name.....
I would've voted N64, hands down, but alas....it wasn't up there.

Yeah, because calling it the Revolution would actually make people like it.

Ah, so like you to judge a thing before actually trying it out....and just this once, I'd hoped maybe we could be a little more open-minded.
For instance. I don't slam Sega, even though there are many aspects about it I intensely dislike, because I haven't actually had the inclination to play on it. Similarly, I don't complain about the Xbox 360, because I've not yet tried it out (because my ex didn't have it hacked by the time we broke up).

The PC. It's much harder to haz0r a game on any other system. Also, I prefer the mouse to any controller.
my favourite is the PS2 since it was the first system i bought that was actually new at the time.
but i have the best memories with my cousins old Sega Genesis...Street Fighter 2
PC's are too expensive and they become obsolete quicker than consoles...and i prefer a controller over a mouse for anything except an RTS or Sim games

Who cares about systems? They all have great, not so great and downright awful games. I like games, not the systems they're played on.
