Right, sheeple, they are nesseciary* aren't they?
I mean, where would we be? We'd be a whole bunch of leaders, that'd suck...
So what do you think?

I don't think so. A world without the religious sounds nice. I don't think they are required- I mean, there are plenty of atheists and agnostics who are not world leaders. The mean IQ of the world will just go up, is all.

I don't think he is talking about religious people, I think he's just talking about followers.
PS, I'm a Christian, and I don't appreciate being called unintelligent.

Eh. Who needs sheeple when you have penguin minions?
Eh. ¿Quién necesita oveja-gente cuándo tienes pingüino acólitos?

I just had to go and look up sheeple. Sheep + People.
It's my new favourite word. I need to find excuses to use it today now.
I've just invented a new word, Pheep. We pheepers usually disguise ourselves as sheeple. Why ? Because we like to wear woolen coats too. But in reality we are their mortal enemys, spying on them and trying to bring them down from the inside. Why? Because we think lamb tastes good!
Yeah I'm talking total crap.
Leave me alone, I just woke up.

I am not so sure that acolytes and minions are the same thing, whether they are penguins or not.

...Well, I didn't actually know the word for minion, so I went with acolyte. :p
Pingüino soldiers? What's that...sol...der...dad...something, I dunno.

Heh heh, a bad pun (all puns are bad), but appropiate.
Just an entire world filled with total individuals. That would be interesting.

Nothing, just penguins. They'll serve in my Antartic Empire's armies. How I plan to take over the planet. Antartic Imperialism!

Have you tried cross-breading penguins with people. That would create Pengles to battle with the sheeple army. That's a good idea, but I'm not voluntering for anything though. Sorry!

Only temporarily, at best: IQ is a relative figure, not an absolute one.

Sheeple. n. People who are sheep.
He may not have intended that to mean religious persons, but it certainly implies that in my book.
And I didn't call religious person's unintelligent. There are some intelligent religious persons, and you very well may be one of them.
It is, however, a well documented fact that there is a disproportionately high number of atheists and agnostics among intellectuals, scientists, and in academia; while every Forrest Gump and imbred redneck in the world is Christian. I will leave it up to the reader to infer any conclusions based on that data.

I infer that you consider the world to consist of the USA (there are a lot of muslim and hindu sheep out there as well.)
However it has been common to see the followers of religions as being sheeplike, and this image is explicitly reinforced in Christianity - "The lord is my shepherd" anyone?

I infer that you hate Americans and look for reasons to insult them.
I specifically mentioned Christianity because the poster I was responding to did. And I can't picture Forrest Gump OR rednecks as anything but Christians. But I am fully aware that there are sheep elsewhere- ever heard of Al Qaida? Of course, I am sure you believe them to be a made up reason for "evil Americans" to engage in their imperialism.

I can infer that you give data which you fabricate without qualm or hesitation if it suits you.

Then allow me to educate you... (yes, that was a set-up)
90% of the general public believes in some form of a god, while among scientists with B.A. degrees it is 40%. That figure drops to 10% for "eminent scientists." -Scientific American
Of the membership of the National Academy of Sciences (in the U.S. theocracy, I might add) 72% are atheists, 21% agnostic, and only 7% believe in an invisible parent figure. -Nature
There are more, and I will let you read for yourself...
