An experimentation.
I know we all think we know how much time we spend on NS Forums. but do we know exactly how much?
I would like to propose this experimentation into self discovery. anyone who participates does so of their own free will. Do not worry, I won't be turning anything over to any government agency. because the results will be shown to you and eveyone who views this thread.
the Instructions: when you Log into NS Forums, enter your login time as a post. when you leave for the day, Quote the time you entered and post your exit time.
use your local time, or use the NS time. It won't matter. and when you post your exit time, also post if you expected to stay on that long/short a time period or did you expect a different time.

This is just a fun little experiment that I hope alot of you will enjoy. :)

nice idea. i'll keep track today but not on this forum, cos i don't sign in for hours at a time - i usually just spend 5 minutes here, 20 minutes there... would be good to see how much it all adds up to :)
already spent some time on here today but i'll approximate it to half an hour

All my times will be in Brisbane time, GMT+10.
Logged in some time around 5pm. I don't plan to stay long right now though, I just got home and am going through my usual internet routine.

This wouldn't quite work for me.
A bad indicator is that check NSG quite soon after I wake up, and it's one of the last things I do before I go to bed. However, I do little checking in between.

and what I do is, because I am at work, I pop in and out of these forums. so I just count the first time I log in. (like now) and the last time I log in before an unusually long break (i.e. going home, going to bed [when I am not doing this at work ] or running long errands.) I Really didn't expect to stay that long the last time, but got involved in a fun thread. :p

...said the Interpol agent...
No, this would make for a sad Kanabia.
And besides, when i'm on here, i'm usually doing other shit as well anyway, so it's not a complete time waste - I don't actually sit here for 4 hours clicking refresh on the NS general page.

I do keep track of my general time usage each day. Lately, I usually have various NS fora up for 10 to 12 hours a day, though not much of that is actively working on something here. I do a fair amount of idling and lurking.
