Even though nobody likes to admit it, the fact is that oil shares are going to keep on rising the faster global oil stocks diminish. The question remains: is it moral to invest in oil? Is it more so to protest the waste of natural resources that do not directly impact the global ecosphere for more time than climate change allows for life? Discuss.

I invest in oil. I can tell by this and other posts that you are aware of the energy problems we face. You are probably also aware that many are unsolvable. At this point, I'm not saying it's every man for himself, but I think you have an obligation to yourself and your family to put yourself in a position that you reasonably believe can helpmake you won of the winners in the coming decades. Investing in energy resources can help you do that.

The economy of oil-exporting nations is driven by oil. Does that make those people immoral for producing the stuff?

As a resident of one of those countries, I encourage you to invest in oil.

i was reassured right up until you spelled "One" as "won." This isn't looking good. Maybe i need a more hippie-friendly title to attract a better discussion...

oh quite the opposite. If you're ever in doubt, just check if your hairline is touching your collar.

Not only does it touch my collar, it touches my shoulder blades. The bangs touch my chin.

My hair reaches several inches past my clavicle.

It keeps me warm through Canadian winters.
