I imagine the Tories will engage in an in-depth discussion with Labour over this. Or a slanging match, one of the two. Not exactly a brilliant story for Labour considering the recent controversy over immigration.

Just have an amnesty, and then put in proper border police and (here it comes) quotas for non-refugee immigration. Right wing and evil, I know, but we're a small island, and filling up.

Best tacke the cause of migration: poverty and tinpot dictatorships abroad.
