When the Flash is travelling at demi-light speed, should he feel the effects of space time dilation? This also applies to others with super speed. The comic strip superheroes ignore most laws of physics and should this one be included in those?

I don't know about Flash, but I get severly annoyed at movies etc which fail to follow simple scientific principles :gundge:

He does, doesn't he?

Assuming that demi-lightspeed means .5 * c, time-dilation shouldn't make all that much of a difference, should it?

Like Star War sor like Jurassic Park?

I don't mind watching Jaws but I hate it when they try to be realistic and fail miserably.

I agree, i think we must introduce a government legislation to force these comic book heroes to obey the laws of physics. Either that or get deported to another dimension.:p

So far, I've managed to avoid large amounts of both Star Wars and Jurassic Park. The most recent example of something I've seen that irked me in this way was M:I:3. Don't get me started on that, lol :p

MI2 was enough for me, not going to hurt myself with MI3.

That was the first in the series I've seen... And only because I got dragged along by someone *glares across the room* :p

Assuming that demi-lightspeed means .5 * c, time-dilation shouldn't make all that much of a difference, should it?30% slower or so, I think. Not something worth noting in a comic.

Fat lot of good that'd do. Superheroes these days can get back into our dimension simply by punching stuff.
